I believe I’ve heard this sentence more in one week after the first round of the French presidential election, than I had in my whole life before that.
To be fair, you’ll be force-fed one of these dessert anyway so choosing makes sense (except if you dislike both dessert equally). But I may miss the point of the strip
The point was that people were basically saying “if you are not choosing, then it is the same than if you had chosen X”. The non-voting people were blamed for the potential election of a certain party, way more than the people that actually voted for it.
